The Station is an online sketch channel on YouTube created by a number of popular YouTube celebrities in the summer of 2009.[1][2]

Creation and Growth

The Station was originally created by Lisa Donovan and Danny Diamond, the creators of the popular YouTube channel Lisa Nova, who recruited other top YouTube video creators.[3] Video-tracking site Tubemogul has noted that the founding members had already amassed almost 500 million views on YouTube collectively before starting this venture.[4]

For the month of September 2009, Mashable ranked The Station as the second most watched web show on the Internet, with over 14.7 million views for the month.[5]

The Station currently had over one million subscribers, and is the twenty-second most subscribed channel on Youtube. It also has a second channel, where they usually upload bonus videos, bloopers or their new series "Watching You".
